Gaara cosplay I wore to the June 6th showing of the Naruto movie.

I started this outfit almost three years ago, managing to finish the top and bottom before Gaara's Shippuden outfit was revealed in the manga. I then stopped and stored what I had begun, only going back to finish not even a month ago when I decided I was going to attend the movie in cosplay.

The top and bottom are pretty much self-explainatory. The harness was originally to be made out of vinyl like Kazekage and ANBU vests. But I managed to find a superb leather-like fabric that was lightweight and could be sewn by machine.
The sash was created using the same basic technique used on the ANBU scarf.

I absolutely loved how the photo came out except that the day was so bright and I forgot to take off my sunglasses before having the shot taken.
So I compensated by giving this submission its title.

No gourd was made for this cosplay.

kuddos. How did you hide your eyebrows?

And it would have looked better with a gourd, but it's still a great job anyway!

Hiding eyebrows is easy when you don't have any at all.

Gourd or not, I don't think the theater employees would have been happy with me taking up an extra seat just so I could sit comfortably.

ROFL true to that. YOu plucked them out! Ouch! I dunno if I'd wanna go that far, but the costume still is good never-the-less. Thumbs up to you.

If you think that's hardcore, I think you'll be blown away to know that the ANBU tattoo for that particular cosplay is real.
